Lady Marian - Traditional? - Posted by Cadeyrn
Is the song Lady Marian traditional?
If not the Folk Metal band "Folkearth" copied it with the song "Invictus" on their latest album. I asked the leader from the band but he gave me only some weird answers, so I don't believe him.
You should contact them, I think.

Alltime favourites - Continuing Mise's work!! - Posted by Nina
No doubt, Lady Mise:
"Last of the Mohicans Soundtrack - "I Will Find You". Seems like a prayer to me. The spirit of the film. Moya and her High Clergy simply got to the point!! From 1992 to our days. Now so brilliant. Because of Clannad. All other songs are divine. But we have stars. All illuminating. But we have a more shining one. "I Will Fnd You". __________ Thanks, CLannad.

Identify clannad song from Robin of Sherwood - Posted by valley
Hi there,
i'm looking for the clannad song, which is used during the
appearance of King Arthur within the episode THE INHERITANCE
(3rd season, Robin is played by Jason Connery).
It's quite similar to the song Caislean Oir, but not exactly.
If anybody knows where i can find that song i'd appreciate
very much.
Thanks & regards
valley

One favorite song? Yes, it's difficult, but... - Posted by coffindodger
There are hundreds of amazing moments in the music of Clannad, and yes, it's truly hard to pick one song as a favorite. But there's one that always grips me, and the incredible part is that I have no idea what it's about and I barely can translate or understand the title. It's Dealramh Go Deo from the Lore album. If any of you Clannad aficionados out there know more about that song than I do, I would love to be enlightened.
Peace.

Favourite song - Posted by harfleet
Very difficult to pick one song but at the moment I would pick the title track of "Sirius". It has such a powerful vocal and tremendous atmosphere. A perfect production.

Song Search - Posted by BabesBear
I am looking for a song for a dear friend of mine. Title and artist.
It was received as a gift in Aug. 1997 though she has no idea how old it may have been then.
It was a pre-release cassette from Lemstone Books in Knoxville, TN.
It had a Celtic (Irish) sound to it. Sang by what appeared to be a female vocalist.
The words something "of Eden" appeared on it.
Someone suggested it may be your work. I am hoping you may recognize it.
The lyrics are as follows:
Deep in the highlands there lived a shepherd man
Who
loved his little daughter more than his Irish land
Day by day he set out to
tend his sheep at dawn
And if one were to stray off he gently sang his
song
Chorus
Come home my child you've lost your way come
home
I am your shepherd and I'll take of you
Come home my child these
arms they long for you
I am your shepherd and I'll take care of you
Soon
the day had come his precious child had grown
She longed to see the world and
venture on her own
She set out for the city the shepherd now alone
Would
oft lament his little lamb and sing his shepherds song
Chorus
But hard
times befell her and soon she lost her way
She took to the streets to earn a
harlots pay
The shepherd left his hillside and searched the city long
But
couldn't find his precious child so he shouted his song
While sitting by a
window she thought she heard a sound
That pulled hard her heart strings and
so she ventured down
She gazed along the roadway as tears filled her
eyes
The shepherd's arms were opened wide
As he sang his
lullaby
Chorus 2x's
Come home my child
It may be called "Shepherds
Song" or something like that.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Buachaill ón Éirne - Posted by Bert
Hi,
I'm a very novice guitar player. My 10 year old daughter plays violin, and this is her - and my - favourite tune. As a Clannad fan, I'm maybe biased but, their version is by far the best version I've ever heard.
My daughter plays the violin at mass every Sunday...I'd love to accompany her on guitar with the tabs on Clannad's version. Does anyone know where I can find these in a chord book or online....I've looked around but can't find anything....? I'd appreciate any advice.
Thanks,
Brendan

Love songs by Clannad? - Posted by racingfan
I am getting married in the fall and our wedding has a Renaissance/medieval sort-of theme. I am trying to find a medieval/Renaissance-ish song for our first dance, and others in various forums have suggested I check out Clannad, which, as you all know, has a big catalogue. Can anyone recommend love songs/romantic ballads by Clannad that would be appropriate for the first dance?
Thanks!

Dream in the Night video - Posted by celticwitch344
Could SOMEONE PLEASE tell me, how I could purchase the video for "A Dream in the Night (Angel and Soldier Boy)"??? The record company banned it from YouTube, and all I truly wanted, was to have this video. I'm not concerned about the purchase price, I just merely loved it that much--I wasn't trying to "get away" with trying to get this for free, it was simply the ONLY place I'd ever seen the video...PLEASE HELP!!!--THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME!!!
THANK YOU, in advance, for any assistance you can provide...
Also, have a beautiful day!(;

Have been searching years for this song version!!! - Posted by Mohawk75
Hey guys. Just ran into this site and had to join. Here's my question: In the film "The Last of the Mohicans", the song "I will find you", I hear her singing "No matter where you go I'M ALWAYS WITH YOU", which to my knowledge, is only heard in the movie. This is the version of the song I've been searching for forever! Is the song called "I'm always with you"? Any help with how to obtain this version would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys.

The Fairy Queen - Posted by johnesimpson
This instrumental -- from the "Rogha: The Best of Clannad" album -- what can you tell me about it? Is it based on Spenser's poem, or Purcell's opera, or...?
Trying to gather info for The Missus's Valentine's Day mix CD. :)

Alltime favourites - Posted by mise
So let's start a new topic ourselves! I am sure the administrator is just waiting to see how many people will join the forum, before starting a lot of work on it!
What about the nicest Clannad song you know?
My favourite song is Something to Believe in: I love the lyrics of this song as they seem to apply to life itself. Sometimes it makes me smile and sometimes I feel more like crying when I listen to the song.
A very close second is Buachaill on Eirne. I think I never heard a more beautifully sung version of this song!
So now I am curious about your songs and stories too!!! Please don't disappoint me :-)
